Terms & Conditions – Scheduled Cleans
Access to Property
During your scheduled clean, you may choose to remain at the property or leave. You may provide access by leaving a key, allowing us to hold a key, or letting us in on arrival. Please choose the option that makes you feel most comfortable.
Cancellations & Missed Appointments
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled clean will incur a 50% charge.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled clean will be charged at the full rate.
Missed appointments where no notice is given, including situations where we are unable to gain access to the property, will be charged at the full rate.
Health & Safety Limitations
For the health and safety of our cleaners, Sparkle & Shine Cleaning Services:
Does not clean or work around pet waste.
Does not clean areas affected by insect or rodent infestations.
Does not clean human waste outside of toilets.
If any of the above are present, the clean may be cancelled or rescheduled at our discretion and charges may still apply.
Minimum Booking Time
All cleans are subject to a minimum charge of two (2) hours. Any clean requiring less time will still be charged at the two-hour minimum.
Personal & Valuables Disclaimer
Please ensure any sentimental, expensive, fragile, or irreplaceable items are moved to a safe place prior to your clean. While we take care at all times, Sparkle & Shine Cleaning Services cannot accept responsibility for damage to items left out during cleaning.
Payments & Invoicing
All invoices must be paid by the end of the scheduled clean, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Invoices are typically issued on Sunday evenings for the week ahead.
Late payments will incur a £5 late fee.
Payments outstanding 24 hours after the scheduled clean will be classed as late.
Illness Policy
If you or a household member is unwell, please contact us as soon as possible. We will assess the situation and confirm whether it is safe to proceed or whether the clean should be rescheduled.
Children & Pets
To ensure safety and maintain cleaning standards:
Please keep children out of working areas during the clean.
Please keep pets out of working areas during the clean.
All products used are safe when used correctly, but keeping areas clear ensures the highest level of cleanliness.
Photos & Social Media
Our employees may take photographs inside homes or offices for record-keeping or marketing purposes. Images will only be posted on social media with prior consent. Please confirm if you are happy for photographs to be taken.
Changes to Your Clean
Any requests to add, remove, or change services must be made with at least 48 hours’ notice. Changes made with less notice will still be charged at the full rate, with additional charges applied for extra services.

All feedback is welcomed and encouraged. We can only improve and tailor our services based on what we know, so please share any requests, preferences, or concerns.
